A nice "portrait" of a flower - simple but with well defined detail.

The focus is good and the minimum depth of its field works very well in order to concentrate all attention on the blossom. It is the only object in the picture which, considering the macro technique, is fine, and the blurry stem's position and angle are also very good. However, the composition is a bit too plain - the flower is almost completely centralized and there is nothing besides it to break up the cadre. Although the simplicity is a good effect for a flower like the snowdrop (and probably intentionally sought), the observer's eye still needs something to capture and hold its interest.
The colors are fairly natural, despite the high saturation. They seem a bit exaggerated towards the yellow tones (either intentionally or because of a shifted white balance) but this creates a pleasant warm, sunny feeling which emphasizes well on the upcoming spring.

The photograph is very beautiful and I really wish it had a little more originality to it. Like I said, I like its simplicity but there's either a bit too much of, or a bit not enough.
